Hello!

So the big day is arriving- one more week away! We all leave on June 10th for Paris from JFK airport! I just booked my car service to take me from my humble abode in Park Slope , Brooklyn to the place where the airplanes are. I am so psyched! I did my big shopping the other day at Target to get all the travel stuff, and of course some clothes that I will DESPERATELY BE NEEDING ( wink! I didn't need any clothes, but going to Paris is an excuse to buy some right?! Yes. I think so. Moving on.) I need to pack as well, this is one of my favorite parts. Its when you just stand there stuffing your clothes into your suitcase daydreaming about what your trip is going to be like.

Before I continue, let me explain to you whats going on. I am studying abroad this summer with FIT ! Its going to be FABULOUS. We're going to Paris, Milan, Venice, Florence etcetcetc. So many events on the itinerary! Its going to be a 3-week long adventure, and I don't think I could be any more excited.

Actually no, I lied. My favorite part is the airport/plane ride. Minus the whole security and taking off your shoes thing. I don't know what it is, its definitely a highlight of any vacation. I love getting all nicely, yet comfy , but chicly dressed for the airport. The whole day has such a nice vibe to it. Purchasing your magazines at Hudson News, buying your coffee after you get through security as a reward for you surviving the metal detectors, and also checking your bag millions of times to ensure you didn't drop your passport after your caffeine and muffin purchase.

Then, I love getting on the plane. Anticipating that take-off, feeling the non-existent wind in your hair besides the blasting A/C nozzle that the previous rider conveniently pointed in your general direction. The best way to know that the flight is really legit is when they start serving drinks , oh yes. Then the snacks! EVEN BETTER! Actually I don't know how the procedure goes for International flights since I've never flown outside the country besides the Dominican Republic and on cruises. Can't wait to see how a 9 hour flight is conducted! No seriously! Everyone is telling me I should sleep on the flight because we are going to be awake for two days technically. But how can you do that. "Oh yeah, pish posh I'm just jetting off to Paris, let me get shut eye." UHM NO. I'm gonna be all bright eyed and bushytailed. I'll take the heat for it later when my eyes are burning during the wine and cheese tour. Actually I don't think we have a wine and cheese tour. I think our first destination is the Eiffel Tower.

Anyways, I will follow up in the next few days after I am packed and all ready to go! EEP!
